Inspirational images of Christ can add a spirit of peace and love to any space. When I had started working with the custodial staff in an LDS Building, one of my former co-workers wanted to come and visit the place where I now worked. She was of another faith and had never been to an LDS Ward house before.

When she walked in her first comment was how clean it was. I then began to show her the different rooms in the building. She said that the Chapel had a very special and reverent feeling, but when she entered the Relief Society Room, she stopped just after the door and wanted to know why this room was so special because she could feel something different. At the front of the room were two pictures of the Savior. The LDS artwork displayed Mary and Martha learning at the Lord's feet. The other picture was a simple portrait of Christ. When I told her that the women met in this room, she nodded.

The last room we visited was the Primary Room. This Primary room had more pictures of Christ. The largest picture was in the center of the room and depicted Christ with the little children. She didn't want to leave that room for awhile.

True art is inspired and truly inspires others. When I look upon the paintings of the Savior that have been done by notable artists like Greg Olsen and Jared Barnes it makes me want to be better. My two favorite pieces are Jared Barnes "The First" and his "For such is the Kingdom". Both help me to remember my relationship with my Savior and how he is our greatest hero.
